"There is a tiger in the bathroom! ...Pants at a time like this?...."

I am watching the "The Hangover" and I am entertained in a way that is not quite as stupid as I thought it would be. Excellent writing with great characters and actors with great comedic timing the story is so unbelieveable that it seems real.

As your new Queen...

My 3.5 yr old neice is already learning that the Queen has more responsibility and "power" than the princess. During my childhood play, it never occurred to me that I could be "the Queen". My neice...the new feminism is already understanding that she doesn't have to be a princess because of her age. She can be Queen and the "Queen" tells the princess what to do.
What a social hierarchy that is being torn down. She can be whoever she wants.

The princess dress she is wearing is 2 full sizes too large so that she can dress and undress herself as she plays in her princess world. The pearls, ring and bracelet are older costume jewelry from my jewelry box.
The moment she put it all on you would have forgottn everything as the Queen entered the room!

Imagination is the best gift of th soul!

I wish I could read all the "smartie pants" comments I wrote in on that darn card D is posting here!
Deborah has a sense of humor that inspired me in many ways.
Deborah's unconditional friendship allowed me to take one of those "snippy", "snappy", "nasty"...dare I say "disgusting" comments and jokes that had floated around in my head....Her open acceptance and incredible desire and ability to see the absurd in our situations were a gift to me.
She became that person that I could share the most offensive absurdities AND then we would role play them out...what if I said this? What if I had said this? What if I did this?.......She gave me permission as my new friend to laugh at things that were now scary. She gave me permission to just be me...now...who am I now? What a gift Ms Deborah is to my life!
